D.U.M.B.O

I went to D.U.M.B.O (Down Under the Manhattan Brooklyn Overpass) late last summer with my parents. These are a few pictures I took.

Manhattan Bridge
Manhattan and street
Manhattan Bridge and my mom

A mamalizza challenge:

Find a picture of food that describes your relationship with your significant other.

This is a Bloody Mary Breakfast Basket. Like a bloody mary, Jay and I have the ability to cure each other's headaches or give them. Also, just like the contents of this breakfast basket, we're amazing but only after a ton of work.

The Pratt Engine Room

I love the Engine Room at Pratt. Pratt is the only institute that still runs on steam energy. It's pretty great. I take the kids I babysit for there and they all call it "trains."

Twice a year they release the steam valves and play these loud whistles. Scared the crap out of me the first time I heard it when I lived on campus.

It sounds beautiful but loud. These whistles have to be over a hundred years old.

"Train" but really the steam engine that provide heat and hot water for campus.

CAMERABAG is back, baby

Hey all you fellow photo lovers,

Remember when I lost my iphone (twice)? Remember how upset I was about losing the amazing app called CAMERABAG? Well, I don't have an iphone again but my boyfriend was wonderful and bought me an ipod touch (which is awesome because I get all the apps and fun stuff without paying for internet...just gotta hope I can get wifi when needed) anywho....it takes a little back and forth and work but I'm able to take photos off of my computer, and doctor them up through the CAMERABAG app on my ipod then send them back to the computer. It's a few extra steps but still oh so exciting. So, basically I'll be able to properly update this blog for all you people!

Oh, be excited. I know I am.

Here are a few I messed with today:

Baby Chet, Lulu's little brother. Notice the teeth?!
One of my best friends, Susana. Doing her fierce pose for me during lunch.
Two favorites: Jay and Madison

Playing in the SNOW (reverse order)

Zana and Rissa's trip to the MTA museum in BK

Apparently there's one fine amount that hasn't really changed much since the '60's

1: Nice use of a dash in an add. 2. What the heck is up with those babies? Way to go Gold Dust, sexist and racist.
