32 rotations around the sun. Full circle: born in (and moved all over) CO, lived in Omaha and Baltimore. I spent the 8.5 years in Brooklyn NY, 2 on Cape Cod Mass, and now back to Colorado. I graduated in 2008 with a degree in Writing for Publication, Performance, and Mass Media from Pratt Institute. I studied at The New School Media Studies Masters Program with a focus on conceptual art and poetry. I was a freelance writer for years, co-founded a grass-roots art collective, wrote and directed off-broadway plays, tutored college students, became a mom, taught baby sign language classes and art to kids. Now, I balance motherhood and a full-time career. I became a face painting and henna artist to keep creation in my life.
I used to blog to expose my poetry, photography, and to mediate different forms of media. Although I've lost touch with writing I strive to create more regularly.
The content is an assortment of pictures I have taken and words I have written over the years (all first drafts), along with different aspects of media that are noteworthy to me. Every word in these blogs are original and mine (unless stated in post) and is copyright under Marissa Jane Forbes Isch.
